Day 3 | Jaitola: Sammelan Kala Aur Sanskriti

A day marked by meaningful conversations, fresh perspectives, and a deeper appreciation of art.

We were honoured by the presence of Advocate Kaushal Mungta, whose encouraging words and engagement with the artists added warmth and significance to the occasion.

A thought-provoking presentation by sculptor Ravi Kumar offered insights into his artistic practice, experiences from national and international sculpture symposiums, and his ongoing exploration of form, material, and process.

Day 2 | Jaitola: Sammelan Kala Aur Sanskriti Ka

As the workshop progressed, artworks slowly began to reveal stories shaped by observation, imagination, and vision.

We were honoured by the presence of Mr. N. Ravishankar, IFS, Divisional Forest Officer, Rohru Forest Division. The day was marked by an engaging presentation by Mr. Vivek Prabhukeluskar, who reflected on a creative journey spanning advertising, cartooning, and painting, offering insights into a life shaped by image, imagination, and expression.

The day concluded with Dr. Bhader Singh's tribute to the life and work of Mr. Sanghapal Uttam Mhaske, a gifted artist, educator, and dear friend of Mahsu Art Society Shimla, whose legacy continues to resonate through his work and the many lives he touched.

Day 1 | Jaitola: Sammelan Kala Aur Sanskriti

The first brushstrokes have been laid, and with them, the first stories have begun to unfold.

Artists from across India, Nepal, and Sri Lanka gathered at Dhanku Kala Bhawan, drawing inspiration from the landscape, its people, and the essence of the place.

The workshop was inaugurated by Mr. Dinesh Pirta, entrepreneur, technologist, and President of the Progressive Growers Association, alongside Mr. Ranu Ram Resta, a respected orchardist whose work reflects Jaitola’s rich horticultural heritage, Mrs. Tara Mani Resta, owner of Dhanku Kala Bhawan, and eminent artists Tirthankar Biswas and Ram Viranjan.

Beyond the studio, the day resonated with the soulful notes of Ram Viranjan’s flute and the vibrant energy of traditional Himachali Natti and folk songs, bringing art and culture together in celebration.

A meaningful beginning to seven days of creativity, dialogue, and artistic discovery.
