Children and Youth Evangelistic Association CYEA is a non-profit Christian Mission Organisation headquartered in Shillong, India.

A vision established on September 30, 2000, the ministry is spearheading evangelistic ministries and mission among children and the youth within India and SE Asia. Our focus is directed to reaching unreached kids and young people through holistic ministries and evangelism.

India's strike for independence cumulated with the powerful rhetoric of Jawaharlal Nehru: "At the stroke of the midnight hour, when the world asleep, India will wake to life and freedom!"

India became an independent nation - freedom at last! The freedom to have our rights materialized - inscribed in the constitution.

We thank God for this independence day so we can express our freedom to worship Him and to have the rights to expressions as we continue to live as true citizens.

One day, Jesus was speaking in the context of slavery - chained by the powers of darkness and old rule, yet invites us all when he said, "So, if the Son has set you free, you are free indeed." (John 8:36) A promise that will give us freedom not only on the outside physically as we celebrate today but what is more important is on the inside, spiritually.

May we all experience real freedom from slavery and freedom from sin and its influences and Jesus is the only way to free us from this as he promised. That is absolute freedom.

Every year during this passion week, we are always reminded of the greatness of God's powerful "agape." A love so excellingly divine and unconditional for His very own creation - that unless the sacrifice of His only Son Jesus was done, will only be incomplete. The purpose to die for the sins of all was in God's plan that we all will be saved! Save from what?

The earthly powers that the devil is using these days is only to stand against God's children and much more preparing to completely annihilate the will of God. Since then and till now, the same evil power continues to woo into his trap.
To this, God chose to send His son so those all that believed in Him should not die away uselessly but have eternal life (John 3:16). So we can all be saved.

He came standing against the forces of evil to help lead us in the path of victory. Yes, Jesus died BUT three days after, 'up from the grave He arose!'

God's marvelous plan to conquer sin and death was realised in the resurrection - when all hope was lost, as there was sadness, complete darkness and fear yet, the promise of joy coming in the morning was fulfilled! (Psalm 30:5) because at his death, our "self" also died! Giving way to a transformed "self" completely surrendered to Jesus alone.

Oh death where is thy strength and victory? (1 Corithians 15:55) reminding us that darkness has no power against the children of light - those that believe in Jesus, followed him and do his will. At the end of it all - there is eternity waiting!

Every year therefore this week can only revive by the renewing of our heart, soul and mind realizing that unless we are transformed or even born again, Jesus' death and resurrection will have no meaning much more, the promise of eternity is void.

May we reason this.

Today we stand together to pray for the family of our dear uncle, Dr Robert Cunville who passed away this morning in Shillong.

He was a tall leader whose life was focused on evangelism and being an Associate of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association; millions have been reached with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

He visited our office a couple of years ago to fellowship and pray together and encourage us for an effective role in world evangelization.

May his family find comfort and solace in the midst of their grief and may the power of the presence of Jesus comfort them all the way.
