‘মে’ মানে প্ৰসাদ, ‘ডাম’ মানে পূৰ্বপুৰুষ, আৰু ‘ফি’ মানে দেৱতা—একেলগে মে-ডাম-মে-ফি গঠন কৰে, যিয়ে পূৰ্বপুৰুষক প্ৰসাদ আৰু দেৱতাক বলিদানক বুজায়। অমৰ আত্মাই পৰমতাৰ সৈতে একত্ৰিত হৈ পৰিয়াল আৰু সমাজক আশীৰ্বাদ দি থকা বুলি বিশ্বাস কৰা আহোমসকলে ইয়াক পালন কৰে। টাই ভাষাত পবিত্ৰ গীতৰ সৈতে অনুষ্ঠান পৰিৱেশন কৰা হয়, লগতে পৰম্পৰাগত বলিদানৰ লগতে স্বাস্থ্যকৰ ক’লা ৰোষ্টো কৰা হয়।

‘Me’ means offerings, ‘Dam’ means ancestors, and ‘Phi’ means gods—together forming **Me-Dam-Me-Phi**, which refers to offerings to ancestors and sacrifices to gods. It is observed by the Ahoms who believe the immortal soul unites with the supreme and continues to bless the family and society. Rituals are performed with sacred hymns in the Tai language, along with traditional sacrifices, including a healthy black roast.
