A big step forward for community healthcare.

Jatah PHC has received a new ambulance to further strengthen emergency services across the villages under its care. This achievement was made possible through the collective advocacy of the Rangbah Shnong from all 18 villages, and the ambulance was inaugurated by Shri.Banteidor Lyngdoh, MLA Mawkynrew.

Provided under the SRWP scheme (29 Mawkynrew Constituency), this is more than a vehicle, it’s faster response, safer referrals, and stronger support for families.

As shared by Mayfereen Ryntathiang, Executive Director (VHAM), this ambulance is a right of the people, meant to serve the public, and it belongs to everyone, not any one individual.

Aadhaar Enrollment Camp

29th May | Organized by Voluntary Health Association of Meghalaya (VHAM) at Police Reserve, Jail Road, Shillong

In collaboration with the Office of Aadhaar Seva Kendra, Meghalaya.

This special camp was held to support individuals who often face barriers in accessing basic services and identification. Through on-the-spot enrollment and updates, we aimed to make Aadhaar more accessible to those who need it most.

Having an Aadhaar card opens doors—to healthcare, welfare schemes, and a renewed sense of belonging. VHAM continues to stand by communities that are too often overlooked, ensuring no one is left behind.
