Dust and grime often hinder solar performance, and traditional cleaning methods waste millions of liters of water. Photon Technologies is solving this core O&M challenge with a sustainable, automated approach.

Huge congratulations to our portfolio startup, Verdant Impact, on securing $3 Million in their round led by Unicorn India Ventures! 🚀🐄

Since their time in the 3rd cohort of our Akash flagship program, we have watched Manish K. Prahlad, Maya Zeph, and the entire team relentlessly innovate at the intersection of DeepTech and Agriculture.

Verdant Impact is redefining livestock management through:

🔹 Pashu.AI: An AI-driven platform for health monitoring and bovine genetics.

🔹 Bharat Pashudhan: An IoT-enabled device for real-time herd management.

🔹 India Methane Mission: A groundbreaking initiative to reduce emissions and bring carbon credits to dairy farmers.

With over 600,000 farmers already served and an incredible 8x revenue growth over the last year, this funding will accelerate their expansion into North and North-East India, while further strengthening their R&D in climate-resilient genetics.

We were delighted to host 10th Social Mixer at AIC -IIITH on 5th March, featuring an exclusive session with Chad Frischmann, CEO of RegenIntel and on "From Drawdown to Regeneration: A System-led Exploration of Climate Solutions." The session pushed us to look beyond traditional sustainability toward a truly regenerative future, using systems-led thinking to tackle global warming.

Following the talk, the 10th Hyderabad Social Mixer brought together a high-energy mix of founders, innovators, and ecosystem enablers to exchange ideas and spark new collaborations.

India’s Medieval Stepwells Solving the Modern Water Crisis! We are incredibly proud to share the international acclaim received by The Rainwater Project and its founder, Kalpana Ramesh , featured recently in The Guardian !

A standout startup from our 2nd Akash Flagship Program for Social Tech Startups at AIC-IIITH, The Rainwater Project is proving that the solutions to ’s "Day Zero" water stress often lie in our magnificent architectural past.

Key Highlights:

1. Heritage Meets Hydrology: Successfully revived 25 ancient stepwells across , transforming neglected ruins into functional, sustainable water reservoirs.

2. The Bansilalpet Miracle: By clearing 3,000 tonnes of debris, the 17th-century Bansilalpet stepwell in now provides clean water, maintaining a depth of 9 meters even during the peak of summer.

3. Scalable Social Impact: Through the integration of traditional wisdom and modern filtration, they are recharging groundwater aquifers to serve entire local communities.

As India navigates its worst water crisis in history, the work being done by The Rainwater Project is a beacon of hope.

Seeing our Akash Program startups gain such high-profile international recognition reinforces our commitment to supporting tech that drives deep, lasting social change.

Preserwe, founded by Dhruven Bhalerao, tackles wastewater at drain junctions using Chakravyuh to capture waste at source and Abhimanyu, a scavenger, to eliminate manual cleaning.
