🌱 World Environment Day Celebration 🌱

World Environment Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm on June 5 at the Kalai Koodam in Hasanur.

The event commenced with a welcome address by Mr. Palanisamy, Project Manager, READ Organization. The Chief Guest, Mr. Yogesh Kumar Garg, District Forest Officer, delivered a special address and planted tree saplings, emphasizing the importance of environmental conservation.

The program was further enriched by the presence and speeches of Mr. Pandiraj, Ranger, Hasanur; Mrs. Madevi from TAMS; Mr. Madesh, Project Coordinator, Keystone Foundation; Mr. Kariyan, VFC President; along with officials from the Forest and Police Departments.

A large number of students and community members actively participated in the celebration, demonstrating their commitment to protecting the environment.

The event was jointly organized by Keystone Foundation, READ Organization, and TAMS. The arrangements for the program were coordinated by Mr. Madesh, Project Coordinator, Keystone Foundation.

Together, let us nurture nature and build a greener future for generations to come.

Free Eye Medical Camp for Migrant Workers and Community Members

READ Organization, in collaboration with Vasan Eye Care Hospital, successfully organized a Free Eye Medical Camp at the migrant workers' settlement in Kalarkulam, near Pudupatti, Dindigul District.

A dedicated seven-member medical team from Vasan Eye Care Hospital conducted comprehensive eye examinations and provided medical consultations and treatment to migrant workers and members of the community.

A total of 63 migrant workers and 16 members of the general public benefited from the camp, gaining access to quality eye care services and expert medical advice.

READ continues to work towards improving healthcare access and promoting the well-being of migrant worker communities through meaningful partnerships and community-based initiatives

Internal Committee Quarterly Meeting at Tirupur District

As part of its commitment to promoting safe, respectful, and inclusive workplaces, READ Organization facilitated an Internal Committee Quarterly Meeting at a City Police in Tiruppur District.

The meeting focused on strengthening the implementation of the Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) Act, 2013, reviewing committee responsibilities, addressing workplace safety concerns, and enhancing awareness on the prevention of sexual harassment at the workplace.

Such initiatives play a vital role in creating a supportive environment where women can work with dignity, confidence, and security.

Together, we continue to build workplaces that are safe, equitable, and free from harassment.

The meeting focused on creating a safe, respectful, and inclusive workplace environment for women employees, encouraging open communication, and reinforcing the importance of workplace dignity and equality.

"Gender Perspective Life Skills Training"

A Life Skills Training Programme with a gender perspective was conducted to help participants understand gender differences and strengthen leadership qualities for positive social change.

The training focused on essential life skills such as decision-making, communication, self-development, and applying these skills effectively in daily life. Participants actively engaged in discussions and learning sessions aimed at building confidence, equality, and leadership capacity.

Block Level Leaders and village-level members enthusiastically participated in the programme, with a total of 30 participants benefiting from the training.
