Kiran Deshmukh of VAMP, Sangli, and Payal Moundekar of VAMP Nagpur, working with the National Network Of S*x Workers, India, were recently felicitated with the 'Brown Medal' by the Nagpur Police Commissioner Shri. Ravindra Kumar Saigal at a day long program on in Nagpur on January 9 to sensitize and build capacity of police personnel under `Operation Shakti' the high impact mission against human trafficking. investigations was organized by the Nagpur Police in Nagpur on January 9, 2026. Kiran Deshmukh was invited to present the order and recommendations issued by the Hon. Supreme Court on May 19, 2022. She also clarified the difference between s*x work and trafficking, stating that trafficking is a criminal offense whereas s*xual services provided by adults is not a criminal offense. She apprised the police of the fact that s*x workers are first responders and they should be trained to combat trafficking.

महाराष्ट्र स्त्री मुक्ती परिषद २०, २१, २२ डिसेंबर २०२५ रोजी मुंबई येथे घ्येण्यात आली होती. ३ दिवसीय सभे मध्ये महाराष्ट्राच्या वेगवेगळ्या जिल्यांमधून ७५० लोकांचा समावेश होता. सांगली, कोल्हापूर, बीड, लातूर, औरंगाबाद, उस्मानाबाद, हिंगोली, परभणी, सोलापूर, सातारा, पुणे, अहमदनगर, नाशिक, जळगाव, नंदुरबार, ठाणे, पालघर, गोंदीया, गडचिरोली, नागपूर, रत्नागिरी, वर्धा, बुलढाणा, यवतमाळ, चंद्रपूर, भंडारा, वाशीम व मुंबई ह्या ठिकाणाहून वेगवेगळ्या संस्थांचा समावेश होता. कार्यक्रम खूप जोमाने पार पडला ज्या मध्ये गटचर्चा, सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रम, नाटक, प्रमुख विषयांवर व्याख्यान - सत्रे आणि आझाद मैदानावर जाहीर सभा घेण्यात आली.

व्हॅम्प संघटना, मुस्कान संस्था आणि विद्रोही महिला मंच मधून १८ कार्यकर्ते ह्या परिषदेस हजर होते.

The Maharashtra Stree Mukti Parishad was held in Mumbai on December 20, 21, and 22, 2025. The three-day conference included 750 participants from various districts of Maharashtra. Representatives from different organizations from Sangli, Kolhapur, Beed, Latur, Aurangabad, Osmanabad, Hingoli, Parbhani, Solapur, Satara, Pune, Ahmednagar, Nashik, Jalgaon, Nandurbar, Thane, Palghar, Gondia, Gadchiroli, Nagpur, Ratnagiri, Wardha, Buldhana, Yavatmal, Chandrapur, Bhandara, Washim, and Mumbai participated. The program was conducted with great enthusiasm, including group discussions, cultural programs, plays, lectures on key topics, and a public meeting at Azad Maidan.

18 activists from VAMP Sanghatna, Muskan Sanstha, and Vidrohi Mahila Manch attended the conference.

आज दिनांक ०१ डिसेंबर २०२५ एड्स दिवसाच्या निम्मिताने, संग्राम संस्था, व्हॅम्प (सांगली, मिरज, इच्चलकरंजी ) येथील कार्यकर्त्यांच्या द्वारे सांगली सिव्हिल हॉस्पिटल समोरून रॅली काढण्यात आली. एचआयव्ही विरुद्धचा लढा, जाणीव आणि एड्स प्रतिसादात बदल करण्यासाठी जागतिक सहकार्याचे आवाहन करत रॅली पुढे आली.

The Maharashtra State Women's Commission organized a Public Hearing at the District Planning Committee Hall, Sangli on 15th October 2025 to meet and resolve complaints of women petitioners. The Public Hearing 'Women's Commission at your Doorstep' resolved more than 50 complaints via 4 panels consisting of authorities from the District Police, District legal aid cell, concerned departments from the Sangli Miraj and Kupwad Municipal Corporation, Sangli Zilla Parishad and Sangli Collectorate.

Maya Gurav, Renuka Kale, Sangeeta Manoji and Meenakshi Kamble from Vamp Sanstha met the Chairperson of the Maharashtra State Women's Commission Ms. Rupali Chakankar Madam and Member Secretary Ms. Nandini Aawade Madam to submit a petition regarding caste certification for children of s*x workers through their maternal lineage. In the absence of an identifiable father, children of women who provide s*xual services are denied caste certificates.

१०-११ ऑक्टोबर रोजी, बेबाक कलेक्टिव्हने मुंबई सेंट्रल येथील वाय. एम. सी. ए इंटरनॅशनल हाऊस येथे दोन दिवसांचा महाराष्ट्रराज्य-स्तरीय सल्लामसलत कार्यक्रम आयोजित केला होता. "ओळख आणि पितृसत्तेला दिशा दर्शक" आणि "स्त्रीवादी दृष्टिकोनातून परिवर्तनात्मक पुरुषत्व आणि माध्यमांचा शोध घेणे" हे विषय होते.

मुस्कान संस्थेच्या अध्यक्षा सकीना शेख यांनी "जबरदस्तीत कसली मर्दानगी?" या जाब विचारणाऱ्या मोहिमेबद्दल माहिती दिली. जी जबरदस्ती आणि विषारी पुरुषत्वावर प्रश्नचिन्ह उपस्थित करते. ही मोहीम संग्राम संस्था आणि विद्रोही महिला मंच यांनी आयोजित केली आहे. त्यांनी पुरुषप्रधान समाजाचा दुर्लक्षित गटांवर होणारा परिणाम, विषारी पुरुषत्व आणि जबरदस्ती यावर चर्चा केली.

On October 10-11, Bebak Collective organized a two-day Maharashtra-level consultation program at YMCA International House, Mumbai Central. The topics were "Navigating Identity and Patriarchy" and "Exploring Transformative Masculinity and Media from a Feminist Perspective".

Sakeena Shaikh President of Muskan Sanstha gave information about the campaign "Zabardastit Kasali Mardanagi?" that questions coercive and toxic masculinity. This campaign is organized by Sangram Sanstha and Vidrohi Mahila Manch. She discussed the impact of patriarchal society on marginalized groups, toxic masculinity and coercion.

We are proud to share that Kiran Deshmukh, representing VAMP – India, was invited as a panelist by the World Health Organization (WHO) to speak on Civil Society and Innovative Funding.

She shared VAMP’s experience of sustaining the collective even in times when donor funding was withdrawn - through community resource pooling, ensuring uninterrupted access to condoms, and strengthening peer education.

Her intervention underlined a critical point:
“Funding is important, but our health, safety and dignity cannot depend solely on it. The strength of the collective ensures that s*x workers’ rights, safety, and livelihoods are protected.”

जागतिक आरोग्य संघटनेने नागरी समाज आणि नाविन्यपूर्ण निधी या विषयावर आयोजित केलेल्या चर्चा सत्रामध्ये सहभाग करण्यासाठी भारतातील व्हॅम्प ( वेश्या अन्याय मुक्ती परिषद ) प्रतिनिधी किरण देशमुख यांना आमंत्रित करताना आम्हाला विशेष अभिमान वाटतो आहे. त्यांनी आपला अनुभव सांगताना मांडले की, देणगीदारांकडून निधी कमी केला जात असतानाही संघटित राहून निरोधचा पुरवठा करणे आणि पियर बेस शिक्षण चालू ठेवणे महत्त्वाचे होते ते आम्ही केले.
आम्हाला हे सांगताना अभिमान वाटतो.

तसेच कार्यकर्त्यांचे क्षमता, कमतरता आणि संस्थेकडून काय सपोर्ट ची गरज आहे या मुद्यांना धरून स्व- मूल्यमापन करण्यात आले.

पारलिंगी ( तृतीय पंथी) साठी काम करणाऱ्या सांगलीच्या मुस्कान संस्थेचे सचिव सुधीर पाटील उर्फ (सुधा) यांची एशिया पॅसिफिक नेटवर्क ऑफ सेक्स वर्कर्स (ए.पी.एन.एस.डब्ल्य) या जागतिक पातळीवरील संघटनेच्या मॅनेजमेंट कमिटीवर तृतीयपंथी समाजाचे प्रतिनिधी म्हणून निवड झाली आहे.

ही संस्था वेश्या व्यवसायातील व्यक्तींना आरोग्य आणि हक्क मिळवण्यामधील अडचणींचा अभ्यास करून जागतिक पातळीवर याबाबत सुधारणा घडवून आणण्यासाठी काम करत आहे. तसेच त्यानुसार जागतिक पातळीवर वेगवेगळे कार्यक्रम राबविण्यात येतात.
