π Empowering Futures β A Successful Career Guidance Drive at Ammapet π
We at POLE NGO are proud to have joined hands with Don Bosco Anbu Illam to provide much-needed career guidance and application assistance to young aspirants from outreach centers. This impactful event took place last Saturday at the Ammapet Zonal Office, and we were humbled by the enthusiastic participation of 50+ students, all eager to take their next step toward a brighter future. β¨
A heartfelt thank you to Rev. Father Casimir Raj and the entire Don Bosco Anbu Illam team for this valuable opportunity to collaborate and serve.
We were honored by the presence of inspiring dignitaries who took the time to motivate and guide the students:
π¨βπΌ Ammapet Corporation Commissioner
π Professors from Govt ITI, CSI Polytechnic, and Government Arts College
ποΈ Ammapet Chairman
π§βπΌ Ammapet Zonal Assistant Commissioner
Their heartfelt messages struck a chord with the participants. They spoke on how idle minds become vulnerable to dropping out, negative influences, and substance abuse, and emphasized that education is the controlling thread that helps students soar highβjust like a kite. ππ
We are deeply grateful to all the volunteers whose coordination and tireless support made this initiative a grand success. π
Applications were successfully submitted for various Arts & Science, Engineering, Law, Diploma, and Agriculture courses. Students also received expert guidance on Paramedical and Allied Health Sciences options.
Many of the students came from humble backgrounds, with parents engaged in daily-wage labor. For several, this journey marks a milestoneβbeing the first in their families to complete schooling or pursue college. Their courage and determination are truly commendable.
π± We encouraged students to become educational ambassadors in their communities, inspiring and helping their peers take the next step in their academic journeys.
π Those who had not passed 9th or 10th grades were encouraged to consider skill-based learning through ITI, while those who cleared 10th were guided to choose the right streams based on their interests and career prospects. We also briefed them about lateral entry options into Polytechnic and Engineering programs.
This initiative would not have been possible without the guidance and support of the Salem District Child Protection Unit. We remain committed to nurturing more such collaborations to ensure that no child is left behind.
Together, letβs continue lighting the path to education and empowerment. π‘π©βππ¨βπ
