We are seeing a horrifying reality of our society since we started to search for our friend's dog who was stolen from his house by the Makroniya Municipality to dump her away.
Some people want their streets free of any species other than themselves.

So our Indian dogs are being thrown away daily by the Municipality to die of starvation and sickness. Bulls and cows are being dumped outside city limits because gowshalas are already overfull.

What are we becoming ?

DO OR DIE !

This is a story of human cruelty and our indie's resilience.
Someone tried to abort her full term pregnancy to get rid of her babies. The dead bodies of her babies were rotting inside of her since weeks.
She was on the doors of death when Monika got her to us.

After being operated by Dr Pushpendra she recovered well and was back to her same innocent self, with a wagging tail.

These babies teach us something about love, hope and compassion. But are we humans learning ?

The Honorable Supreme Court judges say that the dog feeder victims of violence should go to high court.

So now the women of India need to run from pillar to post, pay lawyers, and fight a battle just to feel safe in their own country.

Raise Your Voice To Save Our Animals

एक छोटी सी जिंदगी

Our Dhol is no more.

2 years ago we saved 4 of them, hardly a month old being dumped away by the Municipality van.

He was named dhol as he would eat till his tiny tummy looked like a drum, ready to burst.

They were sterilized and living as happy community dogs. But a few months ago his brother was poisoned by someone and left us.

Today Dhol was run over by someone driving recklessly. He breathed his last in our house.

If only our tears could wash away the cruelty of this world 💔

What Do You See ?

I see love,
Love of a wagging tail,
Against all the horrors of this cruel world.

I never knew her. She was forcibly caught by me and sterilized in our Birth Control camp, and was in cage for 3 days post surgery, and then released. A recipe for fear, anxiety, and hatred, right?

Wrong.

Somehow they all know by the 3rd day, that they were loved here.

A month later, she was not in my mind anymore. But I was in her street today and suddenly saw someone curling up on my leg.
It was her!
She wouldn't let me go, and demanded tummy rubs right in the middle of the road. She kept following me. I waited in the car till she gave up and left 🥹

When people talk of our Indian dogs as dirty, filthy, nuisance and menace, I know it's not our Indies, but the people, who are devoid of the capability to see and feel Love.

We crossed a milestone of 300+ dogs sterilized and vaccinated since we started 2 years ago✌️

Here are a few glimpses of our journey so far.

The first picture is the memory of where it all started at the WVS Ooty training center. We have progressed well since then.

- Strays sterilizations, tumour surgeries
- Homeless animals medical treatment
- Feeding homeless animals
- Anti-rabies vaccination drives
- Water tanks for homeless animals
..and unfortunately having to fight a system of apathy and corruption to save our animals.

But we will move ahead against all odds.
