AMYAA (NGO) 12A, 80G, CSR certified NGO The society focuses at working for the all-round development of the tribal communities.

AMYAA Society for social transformation was registered under the Societies Registration Act 1860 on June 28 2002 with its head office at Mayu-II, Roing of Lower Dibang Valley District. On 24th September, 2014 Branch Office was established at Diyun of Changlang District for implementation of NERCORMP-III project funded by North East Council (NEC). This society is established with the vision to combat poverty, illiteracy, ill health, corruption, injustice and suppression of the poor. It aims at supporting the backward tribal communities to become self-sustainable and self-reliant.

🧵 Threads of Heritage: National Handloom Day at Cheta Rehko

National Handloom Day 2026 was celebrated with full energy at Cheta Rehko, Lower Dibang Valley, Arunachal Pradesh by AMYAA (NGO) under LIC HFL Sangam Project.

67 students, women weavers, teachers & community members came together to honor our weaving traditions.

: Beaded Jewellery, Basic Crochet & Small Bag Tailoring
: Shri Abhinav Das, LIC HFL stressed innovation + heritage. Smti. Sami Mickraw, ZPM said "Weaving is as important as education." Smti. Gracy Linggi encouraged boys & girls to learn weaving equally.
: Many shared they learned weaving from their mothers and want to carry the tradition forward.

Today team AMYAA (NGO) welcomed 18 interns from different institutes for our 3-week internship program.

We kicked off with an interactive orientation session introducing Amyaa’s vision, our work, and ongoing community projects. Our project leads shared real stories from the ground, sparking great conversations on teamwork, implementation, and grassroots impact.

AMYAA (NGO) and Team successfully concluded Phase-2 of the THC Campaign at Wakro Circle with two days of meaningful engagement for a Trash Free Habitat.
Day 1 focused on awareness through discussion, dialogue, and theory learning on waste and brand audits, while Day 2 brought action to Wakro Bridge with a community clean-up drive and hands-on waste & brand audit experience, encouraging participants to reflect deeply through direct interaction with waste. We thank the community leaders, ASRM members, and students who turned up and stood for Wakro. The brand audit revealed single-use water bottles as the top polluter at the site, followed by alcohol glass bottles and mixed food wrappers from various brands. Change begins when we see the problem clearly, let’s rethink, refuse, and reduce.
