✨ World Hospice and Palliative Care Day Celebration – October 11th ✨
This year, like every year, we joyfully celebrated Hospice and Palliative Care Day — a day that beautifully reminds us of the meaning of compassion, continuity, and connection. The theme for this year focused on Universal Access to Palliative Care, and our hospice was filled with smiles, emotions, and togetherness.
Our patients and their families joined us in this heartfelt celebration. The most special part of the day was an interactive painting session, where every patient, family member, and staff contributed a small piece of art — each brushstroke carrying their thoughts, feelings, and hopes. These little pieces will soon come together to form one large, meaningful painting — a symbol of unity and the true essence of palliative care.
Through many conversations with our patients, we realized something deeply moving — to them, the hospice is a bridge between their home and the hospital, a space where they feel heard, loved, and understood. One patient beautifully said, “Here, people listen to us when no one else does.” That simple sentence captures the heart of what we have strived for over the years — a place where care means listening, and compassion becomes healing.
A special note of gratitude to Priyanka and Dr. Himanshu, whose incredible contribution made this painting project a reality. They truly started from scratch — planning, guiding, and helping every participant bring their imagination to life. Their creativity and dedication turned a simple idea into a soulful collaboration that touched everyone present.
This collective artwork — a puzzle of colors, emotions, and memories — will soon be unveiled. It will forever remind us that palliative care is not just about medicine or treatment; it’s about togetherness, dignity, and love.
