An organization working towards providing access to quality education to historically under-resourced sections of society with a vision to create self-reliant families and communities in the future. Self-Reliant India was founded in the year 2017 with a clear goal of rebuilding the education system of India from its grassroots The students in government schools are vulnerable to early dropouts bec
ause of lack of resources. We purposefully work with the students who are enrolled in government schools in rural areas because they belong to historically underserved families. These students have limited access to resources and information because of the socially backward status of their families. We believe in the creation of ‘Local Contextual Solutions’ with the active participation of the community to create sustainable schools as presently the learning levels and condition/ image of govt schools are not good and they have become institutions of low performance. As an organization, we have a strong belief that it is only through the cooperation of the community and other important stakeholders within the periphery of the school that these grassroots institutions can flourish. This is where Self-Reliant India comes in to act as a bridge.
