SEWA Foundation was established in January 2004 as an initiative to help below-poverty-level children of Sakhartar acquire the education they desire and deserve. SEWA's on-going activities go beyond helping the down-trodden to conduct regular vocational guidance programs, sports, extra-curricular and developmental activities. SEWA is a non-profit non-political organization focused primarily on edu
cation and welfare. It is proudly supported by sponsorship from local business people and people like you who regularly visit this site providing valuable suggestions, encouragement and advices. SEWA initiated by donating a computer and providing funds for building separate women toilets in the school from the personal funds of the founder members. Next was the Vocational Guidance program where SEWA sponsored a well-known vocational guidance professor Mr. Mubarak Kaapdi from Mumbai to guide the students decide on a better educational career. SEWA presents annual awards and prizes to the students who are in merit list of the school. Other activities of SEWA include sports, cultural, self-development and teacher's training to name a few.
