Today, we had a very insightful discussion with our Coach, Mr. Mohan, on witch-hunting, gender, and several other important issues. The team warmly welcomed him, and we’re already very excited to take him to the field tomorrow!

We truly love it when someone comes all the way from Bombay to see our work. It’s not often that we have people visit us, take the time to understand what we do, and guide us with their experience and perspective.

Grateful for the conversation, the learning, and the encouragement. Looking forward to tomorrow on the field!

Myth 3: "Alcohol causes witch-hunting."

Many people believe if you stop the drinking, you stop the violence. But the facts tell a different story.

The woman is chosen first. She is called a witch by someone who already knows her — drunk or not. And where alcohol is banned, like in Bihar, women are still attacked.

We never blame other crimes on alcohol. So why this one?

Alcohol is not the reason. It is the excuse.

Today wasn't just a training day — it was a test day. 📱✨

Here's how it works: each one teaches one. A Digital Saathi — an adolescent girl — learns a skill first, gets tested on it, then teaches it to one Digital Saksham, an adult woman in her family or community. She shows once, then hands the phone back — the woman does it herself.

And the chain doesn't stop there. Once a Digital Saksham builds her own skill and confidence, she gets the opportunity to become a Digital Saathi herself — choosing a woman of her own to teach next.

One girl. One woman. Then another. And another.

That's how digital literacy multiplies — and it's exactly why this is the foundation stone for addressing Technology-Facilitated Gender-Based Violence (TFGBV): every link in this chain learns to spot a scam, protect her privacy, and respond safely online, then passes that protection forward.

Today we celebrate the freedom our country won — and the freedoms still being won, every day, in every village.

Freedom from hunger, so no child studies on an empty stomach.
Freedom from illiteracy, so every girl can read her own future.
Freedom from malnutrition, so every child grows to full strength.
Freedom from discrimination, so caste, gender or disability never decides a life.
Freedom from violence, so every woman lives without fear.
Freedom with dignity — for our elders, our labourers, our persons with disabilities, and everyone who builds this country with their hands.

This azaadi isn't inherited. It's built — by communities standing together, and by people who refuse to give up on each other.
Across rural Jharkhand, that work is moving forward. 🌸
