Bal Akhara workshop was successfully organized at the ICFG Learning Centre From 6-8th July. The primary objective of this workshop was to equip young individuals aged 14-18 with comprehensive knowledge of the Forest Rights Act (FRA) 2006. This initiative aimed to educate the youth about forest protection and regeneration, preparing them to play an active role in strengthening Gram Sabhas.
Key Learnings:
During the workshop, the participants gained hands-on experience in the following areas:
1. *Seed Ball Preparation Techniques and Nursery Preparations:* The youth learned effective methods for preparing seed balls and setting up nurseries, crucial for forest regeneration.
2. *Community Forest Resource and Management Map Preparation:* Participants were trained to create maps that highlight community forest resources and management strategies, enhancing their understanding of sustainable forest management.
3. *Micro-Plan Preparation:* The workshop covered techniques for developing micro-plans related to plantation, protection, management, and marketing, empowering the youth to contribute to local forest conservation efforts.
