Paritraan - A Social Revolution

Paritraan - A Social Revolution The word ‘Paritraan’ in Sanskrit, means ‘To bring relief to those in distress’. The word 'Paritraan' means 'to bring relief to people in distress'.

One of the aims of Paritraan is to reach out to underprivileged people and welcome them to our Society. It all started as a result of dreams of 3 like-minded friends, who having witnessed poverty and rural-education first-hand wanted to change things for the better. At the time they were students themselves studying engineering in Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra. They began by teaching in nea

rby Government Schools and later expanded to include Schools for the disabled and the blind. Then even after getting jobs they continued their work on weekends and holidays. Since then many others have joined the cause and we have now covered over 30 Schools in 6 States in India. We focus on Digital Learning, Learning by Doing, Practicals, Valued based education and real-life regional Case-Studies. Going forward we plan to continue and inspire our other friends and our own students to do the same.
