Bihar Mob Lynching Tragedy
Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind has formed a legal panel to ensure justice for the heirs of Athar Hussain.
In the Bihar mob lynching case, on the application of the widow of Athar Hussain, who was killed, Jamiat Ulama Legal Aid Committee has stepped forward to provide legal assistance in this case. In this matter, it will file a petition as an intervenor. In this regard, the legal team of Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind is in the process of formally constituting a panel of experienced criminal lawyers, so that the heirs may not only be provided justice, but the killers may also be brought to their deserved punishment.
In Nalanda, a poor street vendor, Athar Hussain, was beaten to death after being asked his name and religion. So why is the biased national media silent now? Is it because the victim was a Muslim? Why this double standard? Oppression is oppression; it is neither Hindu nor Muslim. If oppression occurs against anyone, and if we claim to be human, then we must raise our voice against all forms of injustice.
Even after the Supreme Court’s strict guidelines, the occurrence of such incidents is proof that those committing these acts enjoy political protection and backing, which is why their morale is high. Mob lynching is the result of the hateful politics of communal extremists that is being openly practiced in the country. In such circumstances, there is no need to lose hope. If determination is strong, a new lamp of hope can be lit from the darkness of despair, because the soil of this country is infused with the spirit of love.
