Today marks an important and welcome step for the teachers of Jammu & Kashmir. We appreciate the efforts of our elected government, led by Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Omar Abdullah, and acknowledge the role of Hon’ble Education Minister Ms. Sakina Itoo and all the elected MLAs of Jammu & Kashmir.
We sincerely hope that the ongoing efforts in the Jammu & Kashmir Legislative Assembly will provide meaningful relief and support for teachers’ job security.
Appeal to Teachers Across India:
Kindly approach and request your respective elected governments, Hon’ble Ministers and MLAs to consider appropriate resolutions and legislative measures concerning the TET issue, in accordance with the constitutional and legal process.
We also request the Union Government and NCTE to consider the concerns of teachers and take appropriate action through the established legal and administrative process.
At the same time, the Legal Team at the national level continues to pursue the matter through the judicial process, including Curative Petitions before the Hon’ble Supreme Court, wherever legally maintainable.
Our objective remains clear:
TET-Free India through Constitutional, Legal and Democratic Processes.
Teachers’ Job Security is Our First Priority.
