Today a delegation from *SAMADHAAN FOUNDATION* met Executive Engineer (XEN) PMGSY Division Banihal, Er. Sansar Singh, today at his office chamber in Banihal to discuss critical issues concerning newly proposed PMGSY roads in the region. The delegation appraised the XEN about challenges related to the Hochak-Paristan Road and Senabhati-Thata-Ramla Road projects, submitting a detailed representation highlighting delays in DPR preparation, prioritization needs under PMGSY Stage IV Phase I, and the urgent connectivity requirements for over 2,800 residents across habitations like Lower Halla, Kultan, Kurbhatien, Soolian, Raipur, Upper Thata, Baskotian, Ramla, and Margan Top seasonal settlement. They emphasized how these roads were overlooked despite mapping surveys. The team also raised serious apprehensions about potential damage to the existing Ukhral-Senabhati PMGSY road due to ongoing construction of new roads such as Kowrin and Dal Praker. Given the sloppy and fragile topography of the area, they urged the XEN to direct construction agencies to undertake side-by-side wall work alongside earthwork to prevent topographical damage, road deterioration, or disasters.XEN Sh. Sansar Singh assured the delegation of examining the representation and taking appropriate action to expedite DPR processes, ensure equitable prioritization, and implement protective measures during construction. *SAMADHAAN FOUNDATION* expressed gratitude for his attention and remains committed to advocating for sustainable infrastructure development in remote hilly areas of Pogal Paristan and Senabhati.
