Divine Providence Trust(Karuna Bhavan Rajakad), is a shelter and home for abandoned children is situated at Rajakad in Idukki Dist, Kerala, India. It is the first govt recognized Adoption agency in Idukki Dist. This institution officially registered in the name Divine Providence Foundling Home (I-810/ 2001). t made possible by its driving force Tresa Thankachan and her colleagues supported by helping hands from all over the world. Karuna Bhavan receives children who are just one day old. There was the case of a child abandoned in a bucket at Medical College Kottayam, another case of a child entrusted by the public after being saved from the hands of a mother and grandmother who were trying to bury it alive, another case of a child entrusted by the public after being affiliated with burn injuries by her stepfather for the purpose of begging and so on. There are disfigured children who managed to live even after attempts of abortions.
