Dear Residents of Wyndham City council & Featherbrook Ward,
I am excited to announce my candidacy for the Wyndham City Council, representing the Featherbrook Ward in the upcoming elections.
Even though I have a double masters and experience as a network engineer the challlenges I faced during my journey here led me to chose a career as a Registered Migration Agent and New Zealand Immigration Advisor.
As a proud resident of our community, I am deeply committed to making Featherbrook an even better place to live, work, and raise our families. For nearly two decades, I have lived in the west, dedicating myself to community service, small business ownership, and public advocacy. My involvement in local causes, such as improving the bus network, enhancing community safety, and leading the "Save Laverton Pool" campaign, reflects my commitment to preserving and enhancing the quality of life in our area.
As a small business owner, I have consistently supported local events. Currently, I serve as the President of Wyndham Diwali, one of Victoria's largest and most celebrated events, organized in collaboration with the Victoria State Government, Mental Health Foundation Australia, and Wyndham City Council.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, as President of the Telugu Association of Australia, I initiated efforts to support local care homes by distributing grocery kits and collaborating with Indian consulates across Australia to assist those in need. As a volunteer and Registered Migration Agent, I provided immigration assistance, supporting thousands of people. I also organized online events that engaged kids and families in recreational activities across Australia and New Zealand. Additionally, I coordinated a cultural event in collaboration with 25 other countries, which saw participation from 17,000 children globally.
One of my proudest achievements was advocating for the inclusion of Telugu in NAATI, a success made possible by strong leaders across Australia. This accomplishment reflects my dedication to diligently working toward any cause. I have consistently collaborated with locals at all levels to bring positive change to the west. Understanding local issues as a community member and communicating with all levels of government, backed by my experience and qualifications, makes me a dedicated volunteer. Being elected as your councilor will empower me to work even more effectively.
I strongly believe that good governance and sound policies are the foundation of a stronger economy and a brighter future for all citizens. Achieving this is only possible through authoritative positions, and I humbly request your support. Vote 1 for Raja Reddy.
As your councilor, I will focus on building a better community together. I am committed to strongly advocating for our community's needs and working collaboratively with residents to address the issues that matter most. The issues I care most about include:
Advocating for fair rates
Ensuring better safety for our children, families, and addressing local concerns
Advocating for increasing and improving schools
Enhancing roads and infrastructure
Expanding parks and recreation centers
Upgrading sports facilities
Improving the bus network
Establishing better health and wellness centers to support locals
Advocating for Wyndham City Council funds to be spent 100% in the west, instead of improving other parts of Victoria
Advocate to Prioritizing our Wyndham City Council's growing needs and fulfill all the promises made by the state and federal governments to improve our living standards.
Securing more funds to meet Wyndhamโs growing needs
I would be honored to have your support in this election. Together, we can build a brighter future for Featherbrook Ward and all of Wyndham.
I request everyone to vote wisely to bring the change
Vote 1 for Raja Reddy your local voice.
