The children’s beginner-level badminton tournament, jointly organized by the Indian Association of Physiotherapists (IAP) – Women Cell, Chhattisgarh State Branch, and Shivshakti Badminton Academy, was successfully conducted in Raipur.
With the enthusiastic participation of 160 children, this event became one of the largest and most memorable initiatives of its kind.
Children from different cities of Chhattisgarh participated across Under-9, Under-11, Under-13, and Under-15 categories. The core objective of the tournament was to promote sportsmanship, physical fitness, discipline, and a culture of safe play among children, with special emphasis on correct posture, movement patterns, and injury prevention.
The program was graced by the esteemed presence of Dr. Varnika Sharma, Chairperson, Chhattisgarh State Commission for Protection of Child Rights.
We were also honored by the presence of Dr. Alok Agrawal, Director, Blue Bird Children’s Hospital (First Aid Facility Sponsor) and Dr. Akash Chopra, Navkar Physiotherapy (Physiotherapy Services), whose support ensured player safety and on-field care.
The tournament was chaired by Dr. Neha Agrawal, with Dr. Pooja Jain present as the Co-Chairperson.
The overall leadership of the event was provided by Dr. Garima Tiwari (PT), State Head – IAP Women Cell, Chhattisgarh, along with the active support of Dr. Neha Agrawal, Dr. Richa Vishwakarma, Dr. Pooja Jain, and Dr. Supriya Gupta as part of the organizing committee.
Several IAP office bearers including Dr. Akhilesh Sahu, Dr. Faizan, Dr. Saurabh, Dr. Prakash, Dr. Avinash, Dr. Ruhul, Dr. Varsha, Dr. Nivedita, and Dr. Ravi marked their presence, reflecting strong organizational unity and support.
