रायपुर वन परिक्षेत्र अंतर्गत मोहरेंगा वन क्षेत्र, जो 10–15 वर्ष पूर्व अत्यंत विरल एवं क्षतिग्रस्त था, आज विभागीय प्रयासों, कैम्पा योजना एवं स्थानीय वन प्रबंधन समितियों के सहयोग से एक समृद्ध प्राकृतिक वन क्षेत्र के रूप में विकसित हो चुका है।

आज यह क्षेत्र
✔️ वन्यप्राणियों का सुरक्षित आवास
✔️ जैव विविधता का सशक्त केंद्र
✔️ और “इंदिरा प्रियदर्शिनी नेचर सफारी – मोहरेंगा” के रूप में उभरता इको-टूरिज्म गंतव्य बन चुका है।

Is climate change gender-neutral?

This thought piece invites us to pause and look closer. Climate shocks are not experienced equally. From water collection and unpaid care work to reproductive health, migration and exposure to risk, women carry a disproportionate share of the climate burden because of how our social and economic systems are designed.

In this piece, our colleague Seema Bhaskaran examines how climate change is deeply gendered, drawing from lived experiences across rural and tribal communities. The article makes a strong case for system change, calling for climate policies that recognise women’s labour, health, assets and leadership as central to resilience.

At we believe climate action must centre communities and embed gender equality to be truly transformative.

📌 वित्तीय सहायता

NITI Aayog, in partnership with the Government of Chhattisgarh, hosted a national workshop in Raipur titled “Fostering Mentorship in Education: A Pathway to Equity.”

The workshop was inaugurated by Dr. V.K. Paul, Member, NITI Aayog, as the Chief Guest, and Shri O.P. Choudhary, Minister of Finance, Government of Chhattisgarh, as the Guest of Honour. The workshop brought together around 200 participants representing 34 States and Union Territories, central government ministries and departments, academic institutions, regulatory bodies, international organizations, and civil society experts

The day-long discussions were centered on designing a mentorship framework for school, higher, and vocational education, with a special focus on supporting vulnerable sections. This initiative is part of the NITI-State workshop series under the State Support Mission, a flagship programme of NITI Aayog.
