Snake Helpline & Conservation Society is a registered State level non-governmental organization founded on December 31, 2011. The snake helpline & conservation society’s mission is to promote awareness about snakes, wild animals and planet’s natural environment and to build a future in which humans & wildlife coexist harmoniously. Currently, much of its work focuses on the conservation, rehabilita

tion, rescue & research of snakes, wild animals including birds among other issues it is also concerned with endangered species. While Planet Earth is gifted with more than 3400 species of snakes, out of which approximately 290 are present in India ranging from the 10 cm long worm snake to the 7 meter long python and king cobra. They constitute approximately 10% of the total snake species found in the world and 80% of them are non-venomous. The venomous snakes include only about 58 species and there are only 4 species of snakes that are dangerous to man, namely, Cobra, Krait, Russell’s viper and Saw-scaled viper. The idea of establishing snake helpline & conservation society was initially proposed by Sajid Khan. We are very thankful to you for giving us the opportunity to serve the nature & mankind.
