🌾 FARMOURS – Empowering Farmers, Strengthening Rural Livelihoods 🌾
An Initiative by Meer Foundation | Chhattisgarh

Meer Foundation proudly introduces FARMOURS, a focused initiative designed to improve farmers’ income, promote modern agriculture, and strengthen rural livelihoods across Chhattisgarh.

Under this initiative, we are working closely with farming communities to:

🚜 Promote modern and scientific agricultural practices
💧 Support lift irrigation systems to ensure reliable water access
🌱 Encourage diversified cropping models including makhana cultivation and other high-value crops
👩‍🌾 Strengthen farmer collectives and local capacity building
📈 Enhance productivity, sustainability, and market linkages

FARMOURS aims to reduce dependency on erratic rainfall, introduce climate-resilient practices, and create sustainable income opportunities for small and marginal farmers.

Through community participation, field demonstrations, training sessions, and technical guidance, Meer Foundation continues its commitment to building a self-reliant and prosperous rural Chhattisgarh.

Together, we move towards stronger farms and stronger futures.

सतो बैगा के घर पहुँचा नल से जल, वर्षों की समस्या से मिली राहत

कवर्धा जिले के पंडरिया विकासखंड के ग्राम पंचायत खाम्ही की निवासी सतो बैगा के लिए जल जीवन मिशन जीवन में बड़ा बदलाव लेकर आया है। पहले उन्हें पीने और घरेलू उपयोग के लिए पानी लाने हेतु काफी दूर जाना पड़ता था, जो बढ़ती उम्र में अत्यंत कठिन हो गया था। पानी की कमी के कारण खाना बनाना, साफ-सफाई और पशुओं की देखभाल जैसे दैनिक कार्य भी प्रभावित होते थे, विशेषकर गर्मी और बरसात के मौसम में परेशानी और बढ़ जाती थी। जल जीवन मिशन के अंतर्गत घर में नल कनेक्शन मिलने के बाद अब उन्हें हर समय साफ पेयजल उपलब्ध है। इससे न केवल उनकी मेहनत और समय की बचत हुई है, बल्कि स्वास्थ्य में भी सुधार आया है। सतो बैगा बताती हैं कि अब वे किसी पर निर्भर नहीं हैं और पानी को लेकर रोज की चिंता समाप्त हो गई है। यह योजना उनके लिए सुविधा के साथ आत्मसम्मान और मानसिक सुकून का कारण बनी है।
