হরিরামপুর থানার কুতুবপুর গ্রাম থেকে উদ্ধার
ব্ল্যাক উইঙ্গড কাইট বা ভুবন চিল পাখি।

দক্ষিণ দিনাজপুর জেলার হরিরামপুর থানার অন্তর্গত কুতুবপুর গ্রাম থেকে উদ্ধার করা হল একটি ব্ল্যাক উইঙ্গড কাইট বা ভুবন চিল।পাখিটিকে কেউ বা কারা হয়ত শিকার করতে গিয়ে আহত করে ফেলে । পাখিটির ডানায় আঘাতের চিহ্ন রয়েছে। কুতুবপুর গ্রামের নওয়াজ শরীফ নামে একজন যুব চাষি পাখিটিকে একটি মাঠের মধ্যে পড়ে থাকতে দেখে । পাখি টি উড়তে পারছিল না। নওয়াজ তখন পাখিটিকে বাঁচানোর জন্য মাঠ থেকে উদ্ধার করে নিজের বাড়িতে নিয়ে আসে। তারপর খবর দেয় উত্তর দিনাজপুর পিপল ফর এনিম্যালাস এর অফিসে। খবর পেয়ে উত্তর দিনাজপুর পিপল ফর এনিম্যালসের সদস্য অনুষ চক্রবর্তী , বিশাল চৌহান ও অজয় মণ্ডল সম্পাদক গৌতম তান্তিয়ার নেতৃত্বে হরিরামপুর থানার কুতুবপুর গ্রামে গিয়ে নবাজ শরীফের বাড়ি থেকে রাত সাড়ে দশ টায় পাখিটিকে উদ্ধার করে রায়গঞ্জে নিয়ে আসে। পাখিটিকে বাঁচানোর জন্য নবাজ শরীফ কে সংস্থার পক্ষ থেকে ধন্যবাদ দেওয়া হয়। পাখিটির প্রাথমিক চিকিৎসার পর রায়গঞ্জ বন দপ্তরের হাতে তুলে দেওয়া হয়েছে। ভুবন চিল পাখি বন্যপ্রাণী সংরক্ষণ তালিকার দুই নম্বর সিডিউলের অন্তর্ভুক্ত। মাটি, জল ও পরিবেশ দূষণের কারণে এই পাখির সংখ্যা দিনের পর দিন কমে আসছে। এই ধরনের পাখিকে বাঁচিয়ে রাখা ও সংরক্ষণ করা বাস্তুতন্ত্রের জন্য অত্যন্ত গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ।
বন্য পশুপাখি উদ্ধারের জন্য আমাদের কাছে জেলা এবং কখনো জেলার বাইরে থেকেও ফোন আসে। অনেক সময় আর্থিক সমস্যার কারণে দূর-দূরান্তে গিয়ে বন্য পশুপাখি উদ্ধার করা আমাদের পক্ষে সম্ভব হয় না ।বনদপ্তর বা সরকারি সাহায্য পেলে আমরা বন্য পশুপাখি উদ্ধার ও সংরক্ষণের কাজ আরো ভালোভাবে করতে পারব ।
যুবচাষি নওয়াজ শরিফ কে আমরা ধন্যবাদ জানাই একজন ভারতীয় নাগরিক এবং পারবেশ সচেতন মানুষ হিসেবে গুরু দায়িত্ব পালন করে পাখিটির জীবন রক্ষার জন্য।

A heartbreaking yet inspiring rescue story from our team today.
শিক্ষক আবির চন্দ্র দে সরকার মহাশয়ের মানবিকতায় এবং উত্তর দিনাজপুর পিপল ফর এনিম্যালস এর সদস্যদের প্রচেষ্টায় একটি রাস্তার কুকুরকে মৃত্যুর হাত থেকে বাঁচানো হল।
For three long days, a community dog was seen roaming the streets with his head stuck inside an empty plastic jar. Unable to eat or drink, he was scared, exhausted, and struggling to survive. Many people noticed him but catching him safely was not easy.
Our rescue team immediately stepped in after receiving the information. After careful effort and patience, we were finally able to safely rescue the dog and remove the plastic jar from his head. The moment the jar came off, he could finally breathe properly and drink water after days of suffering.
This incident is a reminder of how dangerous plastic waste can be for animals living on the streets. A small act like disposing of plastic responsibly can save lives.
We are grateful to Mr Abir Chandra Dey Sarkar, a school teacher who informed us and supported the rescue. The dog is now safe and being monitored.
