Eye Checkup Camp @ Ambeghar, Pen, Raigad, Maharashtra on 4thJune 2022

JAVAB Foundation conducted Eye Check-Up Camp in Ambeghar Village in Pen. Raigad District on 4thJune 2022. Supported by BioXera Pharma, we were able to help the underprivileged and those who lacked even the minimum funds to have Eye Checks and address the basic needs of providing Free Spectacles.

Follow up Women’s Health Camp @ Bori, Pen, Raigad, Maharashtra in February 2022

On the 5th of December 2021, Javab foundation helped organize a Women’s health campaign to cater to the needs of the women of our society. A total of 153 women attended. Free consultation was followed by Blood Checkup at the premises, as suggested by the Doctors.

On a special request by the Panchayat, another follow-up camp was conducted for those women who needed further consultation and medication based on the Test reports.

This follow up camp was held in February 2022 where they were given free medical supplements on the basis of the reports from the blood tests, and they were also advised on proper diet, nutrition and lifestyle habits as necessary.

Women’s Health Camp @ Bori, Pen, Raigad, Maharashtra on 5th of December 2021

Javab foundation helped organize a Women’s health campaign to cater to the needs of the women of our society.
On the 5th of December 2021, with a team of 3 doctors and 2 laboratory techincians from Apollo Hospital, 3 laboratory personnel from Mahalab, members of the Public Health deptt. ADHS-VBD (Govt. of Maharashtra) & Heart foundation, members from the Javab foundation and a team of volunteers from the Bori village, a women’s health camp was organized in Bori village to contribute towards better health of the women in Bori and surrounding areas. A total of 153 women attended. Free consultation was followed by Blood Checkup at the premises, as suggested by the Doctors. A bone density checkup was done for all the women for free.

The team also used charts, pictures, and other collaterals to spread awareness about Malaria. The aim was to help people realize the reasons and need for maintaining hygiene and proper waste disposal as well as local measures that can be taken up!

Eye Checkup Camp @ Bori, Pen, Raigad, Maharashtra on 24 October 2021

Javab foundation organized an eye camp in Bori village for villagers and people from surrounding areas on the 24 October 2021, where 280 people of all ages came and had their eyes tested for common vision problems like myopia and, hypermetropia. 159 eyeglasses were distributed for free based on their diagnosis / vision correction requirements.

The current situation has forced workers to return to rural areas. This reverse migration has impacted our economy and wreaked havoc on millions of lives.

That it will further impact livelihoods, health, women empowerment, the education of the children of migrants and a huge number of vulnerable communities in a variety of ways, is not just forecast but a tragic certainty.

Caught between the proverbial rock and a hard place, the returning worker can expect to be stuck in debt traps. To the worker who chooses to stay in the city, lies entrapment of a different sort – no job and no dignity.

For India to bounce back and truly progress, we have to ensure that the rural sector of the country is empowered to make choices and transform their own lives.
