🌊 AMURT Odisha Flood Relief & Humanitarian Service 🙏

In the wake of the devastating floods across Odisha, Ananda Marga Universal Relief Team (AMURT) continues to stand beside affected communities with compassion and dedicated service.

From distributing dry food and essential ration kits to conducting sanitation and cleanliness drives, AMURT volunteers are reaching vulnerable families and flood-affected villages. Disinfection and hygiene activities are also being carried out to help reduce the risk of water-borne diseases as floodwaters recede.

🤝 With the active cooperation of local communities, volunteers, donors and well-wishers, the relief effort continues with one purpose — to serve humanity in times of need.

Baan Unrak Continues Earthquake Relief in Myanmar

Following the devastating earthquake in Myanmar, Baan Unrak Foundation launched a large-scale humanitarian response to assist affected communities with both emergency relief and long-term recovery.

The initiative reached 4,000 households with food assistance, constructed 77 new homes for displaced families, and built five classrooms benefiting 745 students.

Additionally, school uniforms and stationery were distributed to 58 students while helping restore essential community facilities.

Tonrak Students Develop Sustainable Farm in Thailand

Students at Tonrak Ananda Marga School, Sangkhlaburi, Thailand, have started a small-scale “Happy Farm” with support from Welfare of Japan.

The project gives students practical experience in simple farming, sustainable living and caring for animals.

The farm includes goats, hens, fish and a variety of plants. The farm has become an outdoor classroom where students learn responsibility and teamwork.

The project also puts the principles of Neohumanism into practice, encouraging students to develop love, compassion and respect for all forms of life.

श्रद्धांजलि | In Loving Memory of Prof. Ravi Batra

27 June 1943 – 5 August 2026

Ananda Marga fraternity pays its heartfelt tribute to Prof. Ravi Batra, the renowned economist, bestselling author, distinguished exponent of PROUT (Progressive Utilization Theory), and an ardent devotee of Shrii Shrii Anandamurtiji (Shrii P. R. Sarkar).

Prof. Batra dedicated much of his intellectual life to examining the shortcomings of prevailing economic systems and presenting alternatives inspired by the socio-economic and social-cycle theories of his spiritual mentor, Shrii P. R. Sarkar. His writings brought these ideas before a worldwide audience. His influential works included The Downfall of Capitalism and Communism and the international bestseller The Great Depression of 1990. His academic work explored inequality, concentration of wealth, economic crises and the need for a more equitable economic order.

Beyond his international stature as an economist, author and professor, he remained deeply connected with the spiritual ideals that shaped his life and thought. His contribution to the propagation and intellectual understanding of PROUT will remain an important part of his legacy.

With his passing on 5 August 2026, we have lost an eminent thinker, a dedicated Proutist and a devoted spiritual aspirant. His scholarship, courage of thought and commitment to a more just and humane society will continue to inspire generations.
