If you or someone you know (hotels, caterers, restaurants, etc.) can support with meals, even for a day, please reach out. In-kind support would mean a lot. Monetary contributions are also welcome and tax-exempt.

Walk for Freedom I Pune, Maharashtra

Conceptualized by A21 and implemented by Movement India, the Walk for Freedom in Pune was led locally by District Legal Services Authority Pune, Justice Ventures India, Asha Care Trust, Neighbors Media Team, and Saife Ambulance Services.

The walk was flagged off by Hon’ble Shri Mahesh Mahajan, Chairperson and Principal District & Sessions Judge, District Legal Services Authority Pune, followed by Mrs. Revati Deshpande, Secretary, District Legal Services Authority Pune.

The walk covered approximately one kilometre, beginning at Damodar Wagaskar Garden, proceeding towards ABC Chowk (the bridge), returning via North Main Road, and concluding within Koregaon Park, Pune.

Every step stood for freedom. Every voice stood against human trafficking.

Walk for Freedom | Pune, Maharashtra

An awareness walk where we walked in single file, standing in solidarity with victims of human trafficking. One student shared, “I didn’t know there were so many types of trafficking. This walk made me aware of how big and lucrative it is. We must stand against it.” A simple walk, but a powerful reminder that awareness matters.

This was a non-commercial, non-religious, and non-political walk. A call for corporate institutions, educational institutions, families, and local residents to come together and be part of a widespread movement of awareness against human trafficking.

This walk was spearheaded by District Legal Service Authority, Justice Ventures India, Asha Care Trust, Neighbors Media Team, and Saifee Ambulance Service in Pune, Maharashtra.

Support Our Outreach to Parali, Sudhagard (Raigad District)

We’re doing an outreach in Parali Sudhagard Raigad. People are walking 3 to 4 km from nearby hamlets to attend, mostly women from rural areas.

We want to cover their travel and provide food. The cost is around 20,000 and we have raised only 2000 so far.

Another school from the Northeast has reached out to us with an urgent plea. Children are missing, kidnapped, and trafficked—and schools are desperate for protection and awareness.

In just one week, our team will reach four schools to equip children with safety resources and awareness sessions.

This month, our team is dedicating one full week to reach the northeast border of India- a region where three schools have been established for children living below the poverty line.

But alongside the classrooms, we have seen a heartbreaking reality:

Today, on Trafficking in Persons Day- 30th July 2025- we raise our voices to reaffirm a simple yet powerful truth: No child, no woman, no human being should ever be bought or sold.
As a community and as responsible citizens, it is our shared duty to stand against human trafficking in all its forms.

We also take this opportunity to express our heartfelt appreciation to every individual who participated in our Peace Walk on the 27th. Your presence was not only powerful but also a symbol of hope and solidarity.
