Seva Nivesh – A one-of-a-kind platform for impact-led social investment is an initiative of Seva Tarang Foundation, with the objective of promoting and facilitating investments (Nivesh – Hindi for investment) by non-corporate donors such as philanthropic foundations, family offices, high net worth individuals (HNIs) and retail/individual investors into Non-Profit Organizations (NPOs) through innov
ative, outcome-linked financial instruments. The objective of Seva Nivesh is to bring the supply side (investors) and the demand side (NPOs) onto a single platform. Seva Nivesh, provides NPOs a forum to promote their impact-led projects, while also providing curated NPOs to the investors and donors, thereby enabling them to make meaningful investments. To start with, Seva Nivesh is promoting investments in the projects of NPOs that are to be listed on the Social Stock Exchange (SSE). Over time, the aim is to promote investments in other innovative instruments such as Development Impact Bonds, Social Impact Funds, outcome-based financing and blended finance instruments, as they get greater acceptance and regulatory encouragement. Our nominal charges to the NPOs and investors would be just to cover our costs for operating the platform.
