Inspired by the traditional Vriksharopan ceremony that was introduced by Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore in Santiniketan a hundred years back, Upasana Global Forum introduced a similar Vriksharopan ceremony through a cultural event, in Pune for the first time in Aug. 2022 in collaboration with College of Agriculture Shivajinagar, Pune and thereafter continued with similar collaborative programs with Deccan College, Vikhe Patil Memorial School, Lohegaon, in order to spread this environmental awareness among the students, academicians and the general public apart from establishing the said program as a part of the annual cultural calendar of College of Agriculture, Pune.
In order to pe*****te deeper into the thoughts of young minds Upasana Global Forum along with Ashavan Adept Foundation has created an environmental awareness group (since June 2024) for little children which is known as “PRAKRITI PATH” or Nature Studies and with the help and support of RRBCEA (Rupa Rahul Bajaj Centre for Environment and Art), Management of Empress Gardens and Bee Research Centre of Pune, has introduced the little children to various aspects of conservation of nature.
On the evening of 15th Nov. 2025 (5.00pm to 8.00pm), at the Symbiosis Ishanya Auditorium in Vimannagar, we propose to share our visions for the future, the details of various events organized for the children in the past one year, their thoughts and experiences as well as present a cultural program on protection of our environment to create an awareness among our community in general.
Eminent activists from Pune, Sunderbans and Kolkata shall be sharing their views on the above subject through rendition of songs, recitations, music and dance recitals complemented with suitable presentations in explaining the need for environmental protection which has become a serious necessity of the day.
We extend invitation to all “nature loving” Punekars to be a part of this endeavor, by not only being a present in this program, but also share their views and extend their support for us to carry forward this mission of ours in the future. The admissions remain free and open to all.
