This is the official page of Shweta Association - Vitiligo Support Group in India. Considering a Vitiligo person's emotional, psychological, social and day-to-day needs, "Shweta" takes a holistic approach to all the problems. It provides a common platform for such people to unite them, discuss their problems, to exchange views, to learn scientific facts about the disorder and above all to improve

the self image of the person. A lot of people such as social workers, skin specialists (dermatologists), psychiatrists, pathologists, ophthalmologists, genetic counselors, beauticians etc. are actively involved with "Shweta".

डॉ आनंद नाडकर्णी गेले!
२२ वर्षांचं मैत्र अचानक संपुष्टात आलं !

आनंदची पहिली भेट स्पष्ट आठवते !
वर्ष २००४ महिना फेब्रुवारी!

मला ‘ डॉ अनिता अवचट संघर्ष सन्मान पुरस्कार ‘ आणि फ्रान्सिस दिब्रिटो यांना ‘ मुक्तांगण मित्र ‘ पुरस्कार देण्यात आला . आनंद नाडकर्णी यांनी अतिशय कुशलतेने मुलाखत घेतली आणि माझी भीड चेपली. यानंतर मी अनेक मुलाखती दिल्या त्या याच मुलाखतीमुळे आलेल्या अनुभवातून !
आय् पी एचच्या ‘ वेध ‘ या कार्यक्रमात डिसेंबर २०११ मध्ये डॉ आनंदनी माझी मुलाखत घेतली होती. वेधच्या या मुलाखतीला सर्वात जास्त लाईक्स आहेत असं गेल्या वर्षी आनंदनी सांगितलं .
सामाजिक संस्था चालवत असताना येणारे बरे वाईट अनुभव, कधी कधी येणारे नैराश्य यावर चर्चा व्हायची. आनंदला भेटून परत जाताना डोक्यावरचं ओझं उतरल्याची
भावना मनात असायची.
एका भेटीत ‘ नितळ’ चा एक खास शो आयोजित कर आणि स्टेजवर फक्त मी आणि डॉ मोहन आगाशे असावेत असा प्रेमळ प्रस्ताव आनंदनी मांडला.’ नितळ ‘चित्रपट प्रदर्शित होऊन सतरा वर्षे झाली तरी तो काल बाह्य वाटत नाही . कथा , पटकथा आणि दिग्दर्शनाचा तो एक सुंदर नमुना आहे असे सांगून, चित्रपटातील अनेक बारकावे , कथेची मांडणी आणि अभिनय इत्यादी गोष्टींवर आनंदनी सुंदर भाष्य केले . सर्वात महत्त्वाचे म्हणजे सर्व पात्रांच्या मानसिकतेचे पदर उलगडून दाखवले .या कार्यक्रमाला डॉ मोहन आगाशे, सुनील सुकथनकर , किशोर कदम आणि अनेक मान्यवर उपस्थित होते.
नवोदितांना आपलंसं करून, धीर आणि दिलासा देऊन, सर्वतोपरी सहाय्य करुन पुढे आणण्याची त्याची हातोटी, इच्छा आणि मनाचा मोठेपणा आज फार विरळा झाला आहे.
सरस्वती तर आनंदवर प्रसन्न होती .या माणसाला असे आशयघन आणि अफलातून शब्द कसे सुचतात याचं मला कोडं पडायचं . याचं अफाट वाचन आणि लेखन बघून माणूस अवाक् होतो.भेटीत दर वेळी नव्यानी प्रसिद्ध झालेली पुस्तकं सही करून हाती पडायची .मग त्यांचं वाचन आणि मनन ओघाने आलेच.
या फेब्रुवारी महिन्यात तर मुक्तांगण पुरस्कारावेळी गाठ पडली होती.ध्यानी मनी नसताना त्याचं असं अकाली, अवचित जाणं सर्वांना चटका लावून गेलं! त्याचं काम निष्ठेनी पुढे नेणं एवढंच आज आपल्या हातात आहे !
