A day of connection, reflection, and emotional strength 💛

As we successfully concluded this year’s Community Mental Health Project in collaboration with Wipro Foundation and SNEH Foundation, we organized closure activities in our project areas – Gandhi Nagar and OTA Scheme.

Our beneficiaries were given thoughtful closure kits including mandala colouring books, colours, and stress balls to encourage relaxation and self-care. Our Community Link Workers (CLWs) guided them on how to use these tools for managing stress in their daily lives.

It was heartwarming to see participants immediately engage with the activities, expressing joy and curiosity while exploring these simple yet powerful coping techniques.

The session also focused on resilience building – helping individuals understand how to accept challenges, adapt, and bounce back stronger. They were reminded that support is always available, and they can reach out to us whenever needed.

The smiles, participation, and positive feedback from the community made this closure truly meaningful 🌱

Together, we continue to build emotionally stronger and more resilient communities 💛

Autism: Understanding Beyond Behavior

Not every child who avoids eye contact or stays silent is being difficult.

Autism is a neurodevelopmental condition that affects how a child communicates, interacts, and experiences the world. Signs like not responding to their name, repeating actions, or sensitivity to noise are often misunderstood as “bad behavior.”

• It is not caused by bad parenting
• It is not a disease

Early understanding and the right support can make a life-changing difference.

Let’s replace labels with understanding. Every child deserves to be seen, not judged. 💙

From this month, teachers and staff from SNEH Community Preschools have stepped out into the community, visiting homes and conducting surveys across all our preschool areas. The aim is simple — to make sure no child misses out on early learning.

Through these visits, our team is:

* Finding children who are not yet enrolled in preschool
* Talking to parents about why early education is so important for a child’s future

Our supervisors also connect with families to understand their situation and ensure that children who truly need support get the chance to join our preschools.

We believe every child deserves a strong start — and we’re working towards it, one home and one child at a time.

Story of determination and hope - A***n's journey

A***n joined SNEH Community Preschool in Junior KG. He is a curious and hardworking child who enjoys participating in classroom activities. His family has been going through a challenging time, but his mother is working very hard to support her children and give them a better future. She manages long working hours while taking care of the family with great strength and dedication.

With the hope that her son gets a good start in life, she enrolled A***n in the SNEH Community Preschools Wakad branch. Since joining the school, A***n has slowly started showing positive changes. With the support of caring teachers and a nurturing environment, he is becoming more attentive and confident in class.

A***n’s mother also attends awareness sessions conducted by SNEH, where she learns about saving money and managing family responsibilities. These sessions have encouraged her to stay strong during difficult times. A***n’s story shows how the right guidance and support can bring positive change in a child’s life.

Empowering Women Through Strength and Awareness 💪

On the occasion of International Women’s Day, self-defence sessions were conducted for women and adolescent girls in Ota Scheme, Gandhinagar, and Balajinagar by Ms. Mihika Tambe and the team from Spartan Academy.

These sessions focused on building confidence, awareness, and practical self-defence skills, helping participants feel stronger and better prepared to handle challenging situations. While we hope such situations never arise, being equipped with the right knowledge and tools can make a powerful difference.

The sessions were conducted under Project Vatsalya by SNEH Foundation in collaboration with Wipro Foundation, reinforcing our commitment to creating safer and more empowered communities for women and girls.
