We are pleased to share that the Bank has finally initiated concrete steps towards the long-pending conversion from Specialist Cadre to GBO Cadre. With the approval of the Bank Board expected by the end of this month, the scheme is now likely to see the light of the day. The proposed framework shall be aligned with the IBA guidelines governing Specialist-to-Generalist conversion. The consistent, sustained and constructive efforts of the Federation on this important issue are finally yielding positive outcomes.
Further, during the ongoing Transfer Exercise, the Federation received a large number of representations from members across the country. We wish to assure all members that every representation received by us was strongly, sincerely and persistently taken up with the Management. The Bank has initiated the process for disposal of such representations, which is expected to be concluded within the next few days. Cases involving genuine and extreme compassionate grounds тАФ including spouses in the same Bank, officers in the family way, officers having children below two years of age, physically challenged officers, and specially-abled dependents тАФ are likely to receive favourable consideration, and formal communication in such cases may shortly be issued by Head Office to the concerned Zones.
The Federation shall continue to closely monitor the developments and pursue all pending concerns with utmost seriousness and responsibility. FBOIOA remains firmly committed towards safeguarding the interests, dignity and welfare of the entire supervisory cadre.
