The Mahila Mela was a vibrant event featuring dance and skit performances on social themes by the students of Ishanya Foundation. The program was graced by Chief Guest Mrs. Parul Mehta, along with guests and judges Mrs. Padma Pinisetti and Mrs Prama Sahay alongwith other volunteers. The event featured experience sharing by alumni students. The event concluded with food stalls set up by Home Chef trainees and entrepreneur of the foundation.

ISHANYA Foundation back with its Annual Fair by NGOs – The Yellow Ribbon NGO Fair 2018
More than 120 NGOs participating from across the country.
ISHANYA Foundation (ISHFON) is back with the 11th edition of Yellow Ribbon NGO Fair (YRNF) after a successful decade with more than 120 NGOs participating in the fair every year. YRNF 2018 will be inaugurated by country’s notable figure Tina Ambani, Chairperson of Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital and also Chairperson of Group CSR, Reliance Group on Friday, 5th October 2018.
The four day fair has a theme of ‘Back to Basics’ symbolising use of environment friendly products over plastic goods for a sustainable way of living. To support the cause, small scale farmers and tribal farming communities with organic produce will be participating at the fair to bring exotic indigenous variety of fruits, vegetables and grains which are otherwise not available in the local market. The NGOs have been handpicked following specific guidelines to promote save the environment initiative.
Besides farming produce, a varied and unique portfolio of products will be available to the patrons of YRNF which are not only environment friendly but also artistic. From eco-friendly offerings like plant saplings, recycled cloth bags & jute bags, plates and cases made of bamboo, betel leaves, sugarcane, mud & cow dung flower pots, recycled soaps, hand-made jewellery, home décor & accessories, personal use items, exquisite designs& hand woven traditional weaves by artisans from across the country to festive gifting items like decorative diya’s, torans, bags, etc will be all available under one roof by diverse communities. For those who are health conscious and are in love with organic harvest can choose from purple yam, black rice, diabetic honey, moringa powder, turmeric latte, fresh mulberries to cold pressed oils, etc.
