A powerful voice from the youth takes the stage at Bharatiya Chhatra Sansad (BCS), Ankit Kumar, student debater at the 15th BCS engaged with one of the most debated topic of our time - does reservation undermine equality? He argues that true equality isn’t just formal, it must be substantive, reflecting the ground realities of our diverse population.

At BCS, dialogue is not about winning an argument, but about deepening understanding and shaping informed leaders of tomorrow. Because democracy thrives when young minds question, reflect, and engage.

At the 15th BCS, where ideas on governance and leadership find voice through the perspectives of young minds, Aksh*ta Saxena draws a compelling parallel between the playing field and public life, reflecting on how the essence of sportsmanship—discipline, teamwork, and resilience—quietly prepares individuals for far greater responsibilities. In her view, these are not just traits of a good athlete, but the very qualities that define credible, grounded leadership in a democracy.

BCS platform is a space for dialogue and reflection. It underscores the importance of young leaders not only to articulate, but also to anchor oneself in values. Leadership is not an outcome, but a process shaped over time through experiences that test, refine, and strengthen one’s character.

The floor of "The Bharats Colloquium" witnessed a powerful take on why we need a new paradigm in education—one that prioritizes active inquiry (Tattva Jigyasa) over passive learning. Namisha Kadam, Student Debater at the Bharatiya Chhatra Sansad strongly debated for the motion "This House Believes that India’s Exam-Centric Education System Limits Creativity." Her argument went beyond mere criticism; it was a call to reclaim Tattva Jigyasa—the spirit of active inquiry.

At BCS, we don’t just debate; we lay the groundwork for a new political and social paradigm. Watch as the next generation of thinkers challenges the status quo and demands an education system that values the "infinite capacity of the mind" over the boundaries of a syllabus.

On this Shaheed Diwas, we remember not just an act, but an idea that shook an empire. The British thought they could silence a rebellion by hanging three men. They forgot—you cannot hang an idea.

At an age when most are still discovering themselves, Bhagat Singh, Shivaram Rajguru, and Sukhdev Thapar chose conviction over comfort, courage over fear, and sacrifice over silence.

Their actions were not driven by anger alone, but by a deep sense of purpose and vision for a free and just India. Today, their legacy asks us a simple yet powerful question—what does conviction look like in our time?
