✨ 31 Years of Empowering Dreams ✨

Today (October 9, 2026), LPF proudly completed 31 years of excellence in educating and empowering girls. This incredible journey has been made possible by the unwavering support of our Board of Trustees, Corporate Partners, Individuals, Charity Partners, Trainers, Alumni, Well-wishers, our dedicated office team and everyone who believed in this mission.

A special note of gratitude to our pillars of strength & Founders of LPF, Mrs. Lila Poonawalla (Mom) & Mr. Firoz Poonawalla (Dad), for their continuous guidance & hard work.

As we celebrate this milestone, we look ahead with hope and determination to positively transform the lives of close to 25,000 financially challenged girls by 2030, along with the support of our several Corporate Partners.

Learning goes beyond textbooks when students get the opportunity to see, experience and understand the world of work firsthand.

Our LILA Girls in Bengaluru recently visited TVS Institute for Quality and Leadership (IQL) and the TVS Motor Company plant, as part of LPF’s experiential learning initiative.

From an insightful introduction to TVS at IQL and interactive activities like Tic-Tac-Toe and the Mine Game, to exploring the Skill Training Centre, Mechatronics Lab and EV Practice Lab, the visit brought technology, innovation and teamwork to life.

The highlight was the plant visit, where the girls witnessed key stages of manufacturing and assembly, gaining firsthand insight into how academic concepts translate into real-world industrial applications.

Experiences like these help our LILA Girls learn beyond the classroom, discover possibilities and envision themselves in the world of technology and industry. 🌱

Because when education meets exposure, learning becomes a pathway to opportunity.

Celebrating our beloved Lila Ma’am through movement, togetherness and an unstoppable spirit! 💜🏃‍♀️

On the special occasion of Ma’am’s 84th birthday, the Lila Poonawalla Foundation (LPF), in collaboration with RunClub RunZone brought together our LILA Alumni community in Wardha for a Fitness Run celebrating her boundless energy, active lifestyle and inspiring legacy.

From the 3K & 5K Run and high-energy Zumba to exciting games, team challenges and fitness activities, the event was filled with enthusiasm, laughter and amazing community spirit.

More than a celebration, the run reflected a powerful message that Ma’am continues to embody every day: Age is never a barrier to strength, health and purpose.

Here’s to celebrating life, fitness and the incredible bond of the LPF family! ✨

🚨 Skills That Can Save A Life! ❤️

At the Lila Poonawalla Foundation (LPF), skill-building goes beyond the classroom; it prepares our LILA Girls to respond with confidence when it matters most.

Our 2nd Year Nursing LILA Girls participated in a Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Course by the American Heart Association (AHA), conducted by the Tech Mahindra Foundation Team in Pune.

Through practical demonstrations and hands-on training, the girls learned how to:

🫀 Perform CPR correctly

🚑 Respond effectively during emergencies

🩹 Follow essential first-aid precautions

💪 Stay calm and confident while providing assistance

The learning went a step further: girls who completed the required cognitive and skills evaluations earned the AHA BLS Provider Certification, adding a valuable professional credential to their journey.

A heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Shradhanjali Tech (LILA Fellow – 2011 & BLS Faculty and Associate Dean), Mr. Jagdish Anand (BLS Instructor and Faculty of Dialysis) and Ms. Yashashwini Yadav (Faculty of Radiology and Imaging) for making the session interactive, practical, and meaningful.

🌿 Tradition with a Sustainable Touch! 💚

Our LILA Girls are leading the way towards greener celebrations! 🌱

In Amravati, four LILA Girls - Anushka, Samidha, Riya & Poonam stepped up as trainers at an Eco-Friendly Ganesha Making Workshop, engaging 45+ LILA Girls in a creative, hands-on experience.

In Wardha, 60 LILA Girls participated in an eco-friendly Ganesha-making workshop, while in Pune, 55 LILA Juniors from LPF-supported schools joined the activity. In Pune Rural, 108 LILA Juniors embraced a sustainable way of celebrating Ganesh Chaturthi.

Beyond creativity, the workshops encouraged eco-conscious celebrations and reduced water pollution during Visarjan, while giving our girls an opportunity to strengthen their leadership, communication, teamwork and facilitation skills.

Creating consciously. Learning together. Leading the change. 🌱✨
