🎓 Every scholarship awarded is more than financial support; it is an investment in a girl's future.

Marking 31 years of empowering girls through education, the Lila Poonawalla Foundation (LPF) proudly commenced its first Scholarship Award Ceremony of 2026 on 19th July in Pune, under School Project – 2Morrow 2Gether. 263 deserving girls from Grades 7 and 8 across Pune district received scholarships. The celebrations continued at Gawadewadi, where 97 more girls of Grade 7 from rural schools were awarded scholarships.

We were honoured by the presence of our distinguished Chief Guests Mr. Udaysingh Kharat, Head HR, Bosch Chassis System India Ltd.,Chakan, & Ms. Nafisa Kakajiwalla, Member of the Local Board of Anjuman Islam Polytechnic AIPTECH and Guests of Honour Ms. Ayesha Kazi, LILA Junior 2013 & Assistant Manager, Marketing, Tata Steel Colours Pvt. Ltd. & Ms. Kirti Yewale, LILA Junior 2012 & Software Engineer, DigiChorus Technologies.

These grand ceremonies were attended by the Board of Trustees, Corporate Partners, School Principals, Teachers, Parents and well-wishers.

♻️ Real learning begins when classrooms meet the real world!

Our 3rd Year LILA Girls recently visited Maharashtra Enviro Power Limited (MEPL), Butibori, Nagpur, for an insightful industrial visit aimed at understanding the science behind industrial waste management and environmental sustainability.

From learning how hazardous industrial waste is scientifically treated and responsibly disposed of, to witnessing advanced pollution control systems and safety practices, the girls gained first-hand exposure to sustainable industrial operations. The interactive discussions with MEPL's technical experts further broadened their understanding of environmental engineering, industrial safety, and career opportunities in the sector.

At LPF, we believe that meaningful exposure beyond the classroom empowers our girls to become knowledgeable, responsible, and future-ready professionals.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the management and technical team of MEPL for providing our girls with such a valuable and inspiring learning experience.

Distance may separate them, but the spirit of the Lila Poonawalla Foundation (LPF) continues to unite its daughters across the world.

In a heartwarming reunion in London, LILA Girls, along with their families and the next generation of LILA families, came together to meet their beloved 'Mom' – Mrs. Lila Poonawalla and 'Dad' – Mr. Firoz Poonawalla. It was a joyful celebration of lifelong relationships built on education, gratitude, love, and shared success.

What began as a scholarship has blossomed into a global family. Today, many LILA Girls are accomplished professionals, beloved wives, devoted mothers & role models who are passing on the values of education, resilience & compassion to their children. Guided by the love and wisdom of their Parents, they continue to inspire, support, and uplift one another, proving that the LPF journey extends far beyond education and continues across generations.

Celebrating Innovation, Excellence & the LILA Spirit!

LPF is proud to share that one of our LILA Girls from Wardha, Ms. Tanvi Bakale has been selected as a Finalist in the L&T TECHgium® 9th Edition, a prestigious national-level innovation competition organized by L&T Technology Services.

Competing against 35,000+ participants from across India, her team secured a place among the Top 34 teams to reach the Final Round, an outstanding achievement that reflects dedication, innovation, and perseverance.

This remarkable journey through multiple stages of evaluation not only showcased technical excellence but also strengthened critical problem-solving, collaboration, and leadership skills.

International Day of Yoga Celebrated with Zeal Across LPF Campuses! 🧘‍♀️🌿

On the occasion of the International Day of Yoga, LPF, in collaboration with its partner institutions, organised inspiring yoga sessions to promote health, mindfulness & holistic well-being among our LILA Girls.

📍 Wardha
In association with Shalinitai Meghe Nursing College, Wardha, LPF hosted an energising yoga session attended by 70+ participants, including LILA Girls and college faculty and staff. The event was graced by Dr. Ranjana Sharma, Principal, along with LILA Alumni Tejaswini Sable and Mrunal Raut (Batch 2014), inspiring participants to embrace yoga for better physical and mental well-being.

At Sipna College of Engineering & Technology, Amravati, the session was conducted by Ms. Vandana Bhokar & Ms. Ujwala Rajesh. 35 LILA Girls enthusiastically participated, making the celebration both meaningful and memorable.
