Fairconditioning

Fairconditioning Fairconditioning is a Indo-Swiss solutions oriented programme aimed at increasing energy efficiency in the indoor cooling sector. Improving efficiency
3.

Fairconditioning was devised by NOE21 (www.noe21.org) and cBalance Solutions Hub (www.cbalance.in) to help developing countries in the tropical regions of the world address their cooling demand with the highest level of energy efficiency and lowest carbon emissions. Fairconditioning adopts the following 3-tier approach for transforming the cooling of interiors in India:

1. Influencing consumer be

haviour
2. Integrating available technologies

Four Projects currently promote these objectives, each targeted at intervention groups who influence the perception of energy efficient technology and consumption patterns of a wide range of Indian industries and consumers. The integration of the approaches and Intervention groups results in tailor-made vehicles that address:

1. ‘Beginning-of-pipe’ interventions seeking to reduce cooling demand (Demand Side Management).
2. ‘End-of-pipe’ interventions addressing the persistent residual cooling demand that should be answered by the most energy efficient devices available on the market, to save GHG emissions and running costs.

Our Story

Fairconditioning was devised by NOE21 (www.noe21.org) and cBalance Solutions Hub (www.cbalance.in) to help developing countries in the tropical regions of the world address their cooling demand with the highest level of energy efficiency, lowest carbon emissions, and in a manner that is economical and social (improving comfort, health, productivity). Fairconditioning adopts the following 3-tier approach for transforming the cooling of interiors in India: 1. Influencing consumer behaviour 2. Improving efficiency 3. Integrating available technologies Four Projects currently promote these objectives, each targeted at intervention groups who influence the perception of energy efficient technology and consumption patterns of a wide range of Indian industries and consumers. The integration of the approaches and Intervention groups results in tailor-made vehicles that address: 1. ‘Beginning-of-pipe’ intervention that integrates sustainability, and sustainable cooling, within Architecture & Engineering Universities. Project Name: Academic Curricula Integration Project (ACIP)

2.’Middle-of-pipe’ intervention that integrates sustainability, and sustainable cooling, within professionals (Architects & HVAC Consultants). Project Name: Professional Ecosystem Support Project (PESP)

3. ‘End-of-pipe’ interventions that integrates sustainability, and sustainable cooling, in four built-space sectors - IT/BPO, Banking, Hospitality, and Real-Estate (Residential). Project Name: Sustainable Cooling Adoption Network (SCAN)
