On 31st July 2026, Blue Circle Diabetes Foundation organised a refresher School Diabetes Awareness Programmes at Shishu Vihar Primary School, Pune for 384 students & staff in collaboration with the International Diabetes Federation (IDF) through the Kids and Diabetes in Schools (KiDS) programme πŸ’ͺ

The KiDS programme works to bring diabetes education into schools, reduce diabetes-related stigma, and promote healthy lifestyles, helping to tackle preventable risk factors for type 2 diabetes while building greater understanding of type 1. It is undertaken in partnership with the International Society of Pediatric and Adolescent Diabetes (ISPAD) and supported by an educational grant from Sanofi.

The session focused on diabetes awareness, the different types of diabetes, healthy lifestyles, nutrition, prevention, recognising symptoms & the importance of early diagnosis and timely care πŸ’ͺ

Through awareness and education, we can help reduce stigma, encourage healthier choices & empower young people to take charge of their health.
