DISASTER MANAGEMENT AND RESEARCH FOUNDATION(DiMaRF) is a registered NGO in Pune, India. It assists the government authorities in all aspects of disaster management. It was established in 2001 with the motto of ‘Resolved to fight disasters’ and with the vision to enhance the disaster-related ‘resilience’ of the country. It delivers disaster preparedness training to technical, non-technical and volunteers and also creates awareness among masses to withstand and mitigate risks.
So far DiMaRF has done relief operations during Tsunami in 2004-05 for 3 months, Rescue and Relief operations in Raigad district during floods post 26 July 2005 heavy downpour,Gave relief to people displaced in landslide at Saki Naka in Mumbai in July 2005, Helped the govt in Dead body disposal after the landslide at village Malin and sent 2 tonnes of relief material to Kerala when that state was flooded in 2018. Now working towards sending relief materials to our own AWESOME ASSAM.
