Today, MAHER inaugurated a very special home, the MAHER Caregivers House.
And for all of us at MAHER, this is much more than the inauguration of a building.
It is the celebration of the people who spend their lives caring for others.
🙏 We began this beautiful day with an Interfaith Prayer, bringing together prayers for peace, love, harmony and unity, the very heart and soul of MAHER.
Our caregivers are the quiet heroes of MAHER.
Every day, they open their hearts to children, women, men and elders who need love, care and protection.
They hold a frightened child.
They comfort someone who is hurting.
They sit beside those who feel lonely.
They care for our elders with tenderness.
They celebrate the joys and stand beside people through their difficult moments.
They don't just provide care.
They become mothers. They become fathers. They become family.
❤️ To all our wonderful MAHER caregivers, this home is a small expression of our enormous gratitude.
You give so much of yourselves every single day. You deserve a place where you too can rest, feel safe, feel cared for and experience the same love that you so generously give to others.
