DCT volunteers gathered at ARAI and cleaned the area around the saplings planted by DCT. Each sapling was watered with 5–6 buckets of water to help them sustain the increasing summer heat. 💦

Volunteers also conducted a small cleanliness drive and collected 4 bags of trash from the surrounding area. 🌿

Highlights of the Drive:

Deepastambha Charitable Trust successfully conducted an insightful session on the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act 2023 to spread awareness about safeguarding personal data in the digital age.

The session was conducted by Adv. Vaishali Bhagwat, who explained the key aspects of the Act in a very simple and easy-to-understand manner so that every participant could understand their digital rights and responsibilities.

🔎 Key Highlights from the Session:

* The Act is written in simple language so that common citizens can easily understand their rights.
* Companies must now provide clear and simple consent forms instead of complicated legal jargon.
* Organizations are required to follow data minimization — collecting only the necessary data for a specific service.
* Individuals have the right to revoke consent for the use of their data at any time.
* Restrictions on targeted advertisements by data fiduciaries were also explained.

The session helped volunteers gain valuable awareness about protecting their personal information and becoming responsible digital citizens.

DCT volunteers and students of different colleges gathered at ARAI with enthusiasm and made collective efforts to clean the area around the plants and watered the saplings at ARAI planted by DCT.💦
Through the activity volunteers made sure that the saplings get enough of water to conquer the increasing heat during the summer season. 🌿
The activity ended by taking a pledge to contribute to the environment conservation.
