RLSS (I) MISSION:
To prevent loss of life and injury in the community. RLSS (I) PURSUES THESE THROUGH:
Providing educational programmes in operational safety, FIRST AID and RESUSCITATION. Promoting public awareness in safer working conditions through publicity, education, public events and functions. It hopes to extend this expertise among as many as possible as early as feasible. Since its formation, the RLSS (I) has successfully conducted over 5000 "Lifesaving Demonstrations" all over the country. Over 150,000 FIRST AID RESPONDERS, LIFESAVERS and LIFEGUARDS have been trained by the Society since its inception in 1998. In Pune alone there are over 4000 lifesaver & lifeguards, who guard pools and other swimming venues to enhanced safety of people. Their deployment has maintained zero death rate in Pune public pools since 2010. Over 80000 people, adults and children have been trained by the Society to swim since March 2001, achieving almost 90% success rate. The dictum is clear. Teach them to swim if you don't want them drowned!

Drowning prevention starts with regular emergency response drills, clearly assigned roles, and on-site CPR & rescue training.

If your staff is untrained or unprepared, your facility isn’t just unsafe — it’s at risk.

Run the drills. Save the lives. Reduce the liability.

She was your first safe place.
The arms that caught you before the fall,
The voice that calmed every storm.

She didn’t just protect —
She prepared you to face the world.

Today, we honour every mother
who became our strength, our safety,
our silent lifesaver.

Happy Mother’s Day
