Indian shot put athlete Krishna Jaishankar Menon, who has carved out a unique identity for herself by setting several consecutive national records in the women’s indoor shot put event.

During a competition held in the USA, she became the first Indian woman to cross the 18-meter mark in indoor shot put with a throw of 18.03 meters,

She became India’s first female athlete to qualify for the prestigious NCAA Indoor Championship,

Due to her heavy and muscular physique in childhood, Krishna faced significant body shaming in India,

She was excluded from national selection eight different times at the early stages by selection committees because of her appearance and build,

When Krishna went to Jamaica for training with her coach, she saw muscular women dominating the sport there, which made her realize the power of her own body,

Krishna’s this ‘redemption story’ teaches that if your resolve is strong, no wall in the world can stop you from making history.

Some records do more than break time.
They carry history forward. 🇮🇳⚡

In 1960, Milkha Singh ran the 400m in 45.73 seconds and gave India its first true glimpse of global sprinting greatness.

That run became more than just a timing.

It became a symbol of grit.
Of discipline.
Of belief that an Indian athlete could stand shoulder to shoulder with the fastest runners in the world.

For generations, the “Flying Sikh” inspired countless young athletes to dream beyond limitations. ❤️

And now, in 2026, Vishal TK has taken that story one step further by clocking an incredible 44.98 seconds in the 400m sprint. ⚡🔥

A new era.
A new milestone.
And another powerful reminder that Indian athletics continues to evolve on the global stage.

Between Milkha Singh’s iconic run and Vishal TK’s breakthrough lies decades of struggle, training, sacrifice, and relentless pursuit of excellence.

Two races.
Two generations.
One shared dream:

To make India run faster than ever before. 🇮🇳⚡
