You might never look at a plate of paneer the same way again.

At first, it sounds impossible. What could a city’s appetite for dairy possibly have to do with wildfires in the Sahyadris?

Dr. Gurudas Nulkar takes us on a journey that challenges exactly that assumption. By looking beyond the obvious and tracing the problem back to its root causes, he uncovers an invisible chain connecting urban consumption, rural livelihoods, and one of India’s most precious ecosystems.

More than a talk about conservation, this is a lesson in systems thinking. It reminds us that the biggest challenges are rarely caused by a single event, they emerge from countless everyday choices, quietly linked together.
