Our hearts go out to Nepal as communities continue to grapple with the devastating impact of the Rasuwa Flood.
As of 30 August 2026, 6:00 PM, Nepal's National Disaster Risk Reduction & Management Authority (NDRRMA) reports:
781 lives lost across Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading, Gorkha, Nawalparasi East & West, Tanahun and Chitwan
2,502 people still missing
267 injured, being cared for by six surgical medical teams
9,435 people rescued so far β including 279 rescued by helicopter from a hydropower tunnel this week alone
Over 20,000 security personnel mobilised in the response
It's humbling to see the scale of the effort underway β hundreds of helicopter flights, food and relief supplies reaching remote areas, and rescue teams working tirelessly to bring people to safety.
Our thoughts are with everyone affected, and with the families still waiting for news of missing loved ones. RedR India stands in solidarity with the people of Nepal and the responders on the ground, and we remain ready to support wherever we can.
