Real change begins where conversations were once considered taboo.
As part of our Samarth initiative, we organized a Menstrual Hygiene Awareness Drive at Gram Panchayat Kanheri, where 40 women from the community came together to learn, ask questions, and openly discuss a topic that’s often kept in silence, especially in rural spaces. Sanitary pads were also distributed to ensure the awareness translated into real, everyday access.
This drive was made possible in collaboration with NSS students of Vidya Pratishthan’s School of Biotechnology, whose energy and commitment added so much value to the session.
Reaching women in rural communities with honest conversations and practical support is exactly the kind of change we want to keep building, one village at a time. Special shoutout to Shekhar Jadhav Shekhar Jadhav-Inamdar for coordinating with college and helping make this initiative possible.
