13th June is sacred to the death anniversary of Maa Hari Devi, sister of Dada JP Vaswani & niece of Revered Sadhu Vaswani. She was the first Principal of the first school Sadhu Vaswani started in 1933 in Hyderabad Sindh. She was also the first to write Sadhu Vaswani’s biography: Sadhu Vaswani: A Saint of Modern India. As Pune’s temperatures hover around heatwave levels, Sadhu Vaswani Mission has been providing a helping hand through the Jal Seva initiative: serving chilled refreshments to passers by at the Mission gate 🫶🏻Daily 5pm to 6:30pm including daily wage workers,
pedestrians, commuters, as well as devotees visiting the Mission to attend satsang🤗

On average, more than 200 glasses of sharbat are served every day, with a different flavour offered daily: ranging from orange, rose, and nimbu to guava and many more. Along with the sharbat, small snacks such as biscuit packets, toast, bhujiya, etc., are also distributed🤗

As the mercury hovers in the highs, the sight of volunteers ready with chilled glasses remains a refreshing part of Pune’s community life🥰
