🗓️05/07/2025 – We've wrapped up our largest distribution drive of 2025 so far and it was truly unforgettable! ✨
On the eve of Ashadhi Ekadashi 🌸 our team at Inspiring Pink Foundation visited a construction site in Charholi to spread awareness about menstrual health and break taboos surrounding the topic🩸
To begin the drive, we engaged with the women through conversations and games, ensuring they felt comfortable and open to discussing their experiences. These strong women, aged between 20-60, worked as mess staff, construction site workers and most importantly, mothers☺️
Although most of them were already using sanitary pads, they expressed and highlighted concerns about the disposal of these products. This led us to educate them on the proper disposal methods✅, hygiene hazards associated with improper disposal and provide money-saving tips during periods💰
We're proud to say that over 200 women participated in the event and we distributed over 1800 sanitary pads.
Here’s to driving change, one drive at a time! 🩷

🗓️03/03/2025
Last weekend, the Inspiring Pink Foundation team visited yet another construction site near Baner, Pune to keep working towards their mission of spreading menstrual hygiene awareness.🩸

Within a few minutes of talking to these ladies, we were taken aback by the information these ladies already had. Most of the ladies were already using sanitary pads instead of alternatives like cloth, ashes etc. They were aware that using pads was the healthier option. This instantly bought smile on every volunteer’s face. ☺️

Continuing the discussion ahead, we told them the right way of using the pad, right ways of disposal and why, what they were doing was absolutely important for their own
wellbeing.

And of course, we could not leave without giving the little bundle of joys their gifts. But this time these champs were one step ahead of us. They made sure we did not leave without taking the gifts they had made for us. (Volunteers giggling pt.02🥹🫶).

This drive was a little different because it left us with a feeling that somewhere, the work that we and people like us are doing, are making a difference. 💪
Here’s to creating an impact, here’s to driving change.🩷

🗓 25/01/2025 – First Distribution Drive of 2025 ✨

Last week, the Inspiring Pink Foundation visited a construction site near Vishrantwadi, Pune, to spread awareness about menstrual hygiene among female workers.

As we engaged with them in their quarters, we educated around 55 women on the importance of menstrual hygiene, the correct use of sanitary napkins, and proper disposal methods.

As our discussion progressed, the women became more comfortable and started sharing their concerns. During these conversations, our team discovered the women didn’t follow the right disposal practices and had many other problems, which the team was able to educate them on.

Further research led us to a 2024 United Nations study, which revealed that at least 1 in 10 women and girls in rural areas across 12 countries lacked a private place to wash and change during their last period. This pushed us to think further about how we can contribute as we gear up for our upcoming drives.

Beyond education, we also spent quality time with the children at the site—distributing stationery kits, playing games, and creating moments of joy. 💖
