The historic century old Annaswamy Mudaliar school in Frazer Town was originally founded in 1907 by philanthropist and contractor Rao Bahadur B.P. Annaswamy Mudaliarā€”who also helped build city landmarks like Mayo Hall and the old Bengaluru Railway Station. It was established as an industrial school for the children of ā€œnight soilā€ workers. The institution has continually evolved to serve children living below the poverty line and continues to run several programs for underprivileged children ranging from Montessori-style learning for younger children to state-board academics and special education support. The school approached us a few months back to train the staff to make bio enzymes in-house, and here is our first session held at our unit yesterday. The school has now identified a space , and will@proceed to procure the drums and basic set up needed to make citrus bio enzyme in house, including tying up with neighborhood juice vendors for citrus peels. We are proud of the school authorities who have thought about taking up this sustainable initiative and so glad to partner with them and guide them. Our next session will be at the school premises when thy soak their first batch. Watch this space for more ! On a detailed note - the school has decided to try and make 3 products to start with 1. - floor cleaner, which is made from the clear bio enzyme.
The mopped water will be used to water the trees in their campus. 2. Toilet liquid which is made by grinding the pulpy bio enzyme. 3. Dishwash liquid which is made by blending soapnut with the pulpy enzyme. Will share videos in the next session !

Many a times I have held myself back from washing my hair everyday, afraid of the harshness of the products on my hair and resultant hairfall.
